What are Base Batches?

Base Batches - is a program that helps builders take their idea, turn it into a product, and kickstart their business.

This is your chance to get noticed, get funded, and get the support you need post-buildathon to bring your idea to market.

Base Batches this year will feature two dedicated tracks:

• Startup Track – For existing teams with live products who are ready to take the next step. Teams will complete an application and accepted teams will earn a spot to present live at Demo Day from Devconnect. Please submit your application here
• Builder Track – For new or early-stage teams who are pre-product. The builder track includes an application and a 4-week virtual buildathon where teams build the alpha version of their product. The applications, due on Oct 10th, will be reviewed by the team to provide builders with feedback on how to improve their products before the end of the buildathon. 100 teams will be admitted into Incubase, gain access to virtual mentorship, receive feedback on their products, and get the support they need to launch their first version of their product. Top teams will also be considered for incubator placements and may be invited to Demo Day 003.

*If you submit your application telling us about your onchain product by October 10th you'll get added to a dedicated support discord channel to get early judging and feedback on your product.

WHY PARTICIPATE?

Up to 100 teams will be accepted into Incubase and receive

• Prizes: $5000 USDC
• Network: Connections with some of the most prolific Base builders in your region, with direct access to the Base team.
• Dedicated Advisor: Each team will be appointed a dedicated advisor from the Base Growth team
• Virtual Mentorship Portal Access: book 1:1 virtual sessions from a roster of industry veterans and experts from across specialities
• Resource Credits: get credits to support your efforts to build and grow including ad credits, development resources, and audit support.
• Network School Access: a select number of top Incubase teams will be invited to join the Network School
• Social Amplification: Admitted teams will be featured on Base socials

HOW IT WORKS

In order to be eligible, the projects must follow the below rules:

• Must submit one project per team
• Must include a functioning onchain app at a publicly accessible URL
• Must include an open-source GitHub repository for source code built during the buildathon
• Must include a video, with a minimum length of 1 minute (Intro, Demo, Problem Statement, Solution, Architecture Overview)
• Integrating Basenames and Base Accountis strongly recommended; they make it easy for anyone to get onchain.
• Must submit proof of deployment and 1+ transactions on Base testnet

• Technicality: Functions as pitched
• Originality: Clearly defined Unique Value Prop
• Viability: Clearly defined Target Customer Profile
• Specific: Is focused on testing your Unique Value Prop
• Practicality: Usable and accessible by anyone
• Wow Factor: Remarkable impact within time frame
